This artwork has an interesting story. When artist decided to replace the frame of a painting that was created long time ago, he discovered that there is another canvas underneath.

He removed the painting and to his surprise, found a painting of the port created by an unknown author somewhere in the sixties. He could not recall who’s painting it could be — possibly a friend from the young days or a fellow student from the Arts Academy has given it to him.

So artist decided to create a new artwork by adding expressive strokes to the old canvas. This way new painting was born and if the viewers take a deeper look, they can still see the river and ships in the background. So this painting has two authors and one of them is unknown.

The canvas of the painting is stretched on a very old, authentic chassis. The artwork is sold with the frame. The painting is signed by the artist and is sold with a Certificate of Authenticity.
